Re: Beko Electric Cooker Popping fuses (extended warrenty)

    Cheers Penguin,

We are not using the cooker as its just left tripped out but we have no microwave and kids are moaning.

When it was tested today the top oven was crackling badly and then started smoking so was quickly turned off…

Its under extended warrenty and today the engineer came out and said it needs the following parts…

A new Fan Motor for the oven
    New Top Oven/Grill Element and
    New Thermostat for Top Oven/Grill
    New Cooker Selector Switch
    New Thermostat for Main Oven

I am not worried as its covered by the extended warrenty but seems a lot of parts to be ordering…least if it works it will be nearly new again.

As mentioned we have a family and what happens if after all these parts are fitted it still dosent work and they have to order something else we have been told it wont be until middle of next week for parts to come.

Just dont want to be without a cooker for ages and kids moaning they are sick of sandwiches.

Do any of you guys do extended warrenty work if so if these parts dont work what will happen next.

    Thanks

Re: DH090 Sorted now with one small prob (with tablet)

cheers, i am on the 4th wash of washing this empty and all is fine, i am then going to put finish dishwash cleaner through and see what happens then.

I didnt realise powder was better i thought tablets were the same but did read a few posts saying that with power you have more control of the dose.

I am using seperate rinse aid and salt already, so may take the big box of finish classic dishwasher tablets back and change them for powder.

I will let you know how i get on, hope it dosent complain when i put the finish dishwasher cleaner through 🙄 This is the one with the wax hole in the lid.

MR P: As for probally being the most unlucky poster on the site, you may not be wrong as this wil be 14 days on tuesday 😆

But nearly there now, Cheers guys.

Re: BLUE TUBE KEEPS FLOATING AND WONT STAY DOWN

Hi Dave, I know what you are saying but i have asked 3 engineers here and one (nw vacs) says he is going on his holidays on monday so dosent want to come out until he gets back in 2 weeks.

The other Domestic appliance service centre said he hates dishwashers and said it would not be worth it (just buy a brand new one) then started showing me some of his new dishwashers!

And the final one said the same dosent really like dishwashers and said it will be £70 just to have a look then parts on top!!! Which i think is ridiculous.

Maybe it will be cheaper just to buy a new one, but it is a joke when nobody wants to come out to it or the one that did is wanting £70 which is £10 more than what i bought it for.

Is £70 normal just for a call out from someone just round the corner.

    Cheers

Re: BLUE TUBE KEEPS FLOATING AND WONT STAY DOWN

Done this but still the same will fill and start to wash and then nothing just stops dead then on opening door it seems water is there and then on closing the door the motor starts and then after a few seconds just stops and then timer stops turning

When i move timer on it is dead for around half a turn then it starts again (on the wash part) then it over fills and starts to spill, then i switch it off and then start it on a new cycle to get the pump to drain the water.

When it starts to fill it does sound like a frige starting up, and this happenend with the old machine (dh086)

Any other help would be great as i have got a tricity bendix dh086 that wont work and now this dh090 surley i can be able to swap some parts over from the other machine (dh086) that i have given up with.

Thanks again for all the help

Re: BLUE TUBE KEEPS FLOATING AND WONT STAY DOWN

Thanks for that, when you say remove all the water, do you mean let the pump drain it out or manually do it.

Do you think this is due to it being not used for several weeks

    Thanks

Re: Upgraded to Trcity Bendix DH090 (but smells like mold/da

You are not going to belieave this… 👿

The dh090 that i got as a replacement to the dh085, overfills and stops dead the timer will not move and water starts leaking under the door.

The guy i got it from said that it had been stood still for several weeks, and is adimant that the machine was fully working before.

Why is it over filling, i cant understand this. I have one faulty dishwasher only to get another one.

If i move the timer on it id dead through everything untill the next wash part it only seems to want to take in water, and then the motor kicks in to swoosh it around then stops but still taking then when you open the door you can see water comming through the holes in the rotating propeller at the bottom, but not at the top.

Then when i close the door again the motor starts and then stops again, than when it needs to move to the next part (scrub, rinse) it stops dead.

I know people have bad luck but this is now a joke i have got one dh085 that is broke and now a dh090 🙄

Any help guys before my wife kicks me out (she dosent like water all over the floor 😉

    Thanks

Re: Tricity Bendix dishwasher bizzare problem (not heating)

Just seen a Tricity Bendix DH090 for sale would this be ok to get and strip my old DH086 (the one that wont heat) for spares.

My question is how different is the dh090 to the DH086 just notice that the timer dial is different.

Are the motor, pumps etc the same

    Thanks

Re: Tricity Bendix dishwasher bizzare problem (not heating)

well, sorted the water inlet problem now the pipes are the right way round, but still no heat.

I hope i have put the element wires on the right way, lol

Power is going to the element but it will not heat, 24olms is what i get on the continuity.

So i think i will be investing in a new one, never though something could go in this way, I may donate it to the local college electrical course say here you go sort this one 😛 Again the machine is going through everything it should now aprt from heat, and the timer gets stuck on hot rinse. but should get hot through the normal wash

Spoke to an enginner here (NW VACS) and they said low budget dishwashers are to throw away as most of the time the cost of parts out weighs the cost of a new one,

Thanks for all the help, really apriciated and i hate to admit defeat on this but if it has to be.

Any last min ideas would be great – thanks again everyone.

    Fantastic site

Re: Tricity Bendix dishwasher bizzare problem (not heating)

Thanks, the air pipes were the wrong way round i did have the blue tubes in the right way but i had the red and clear tubes the wrong way. So now i have the the tubes underneath as follows…

Red tube (to water inlet) To the left side of the chamber

Clear Tube (To the pressure Switch) To the right side of the chamber

Previous to this i had them the oposite way round., I wouldnt of damaged it any further i hope, what an idiot i am 🙄

I have also taken the motor, drain pump, pressure switch out and took this to NW VACS (local white goods engineer) and he tested everything and said it was fine. So i am hopeing that I did have a bloackage and it was me not remembering where the hoses went underneath and put them back the wrong way that has cause the machine to halt after filling, would the timer stop running if this was the case?

Thanks Mr P, Dave and Gegsy!

I just hope when ive put everything back together that i have hot water 😆

Re: Tricity Bendix dishwasher bizzare problem (not heating)

this is how i have done this as you look into the dishwasher where the dome is that houses the blue tubes i have done…

Small blue tube to the left and the longer/bigger tube into the right of the chamber.

from under the machine it looks like the right chamber feeds the pressure switch (clear thin tube) and the left chamber goes to the thin red tube which goes to the water inlet valve.

I have tried it the other way round but find that one tube doesnt sit properly into the left chamber.

Would you now suspect this is timer related if still dont get any joy.

I have got a local appliance shop that says if i take the water inlet valve off they will test it, would they have a more accurate test metre than a normal standard one.

    Thanks again.

    Justin
