ParticipantRe: New Fridge Freezer Miele Worth it?
Thanks Kwatt, now that was an emphatic answer. Had a feeling that would be the case. Will show the Miele to my wife and hopefully get ordering, thanks for both of yours advice.

ParticipantRe: New Miele or repair 8 year old one
Just for closure for this post we’ve decided to go for the Miele WKH 120 WPS http://www.miele.co.uk/Products/Product.aspx?pid=427

Simple, miele repair with additional 1 year warranty, fixed cost. That answers your second point as well.
Yes 2 kids used 2/3 times a day but it has been well looked after.
Money is always a concern 🙂 I can afford to buy a new one, but at the same time I’m not stupid enough to to spend that amount for the sake of it. I have no doubt mine can be fixed and will run fine it’s just looking over a longer term and if the technology has improved enough to make a difference. I am happy to upgrade if it is worthwhile rather than for the sake of it.I was hoping that a few forum members might have upgraded or own the new range which would give me more of an idea what to do! I’m looking for advice to help make an informed decision 8)

Thanks I will have a double check, I found out that basically the premium give you both no frost and biofresh, the comfort give just one or the other. NoFrost is a must, now to see if Biofresh is a gimmick or not.

Liebherr are the best you can buy, Miele refrigeration is also made by Liebherr.
Due to the price I doubt you will see many reviews as it will be a very low volume seller. Appliances direct would be my on line preference supplier.
DonHi Don,
Many thanks for the fast reply. Would you say it’s worthwhile paying the additional cost over say a £600-£800 one or is it more “cosmetic” There seems to be a large price range with Liebherr fridgefreezers from £400+.
As I stated the cost isn’t an issue, I just like to know what I am buying is worthwhile rather than just a “brand”
Thanks

I’d guess a repair would cost under £100 for an igniter-module replacement. An induction hob will make your eyes water for almost any part that can (and will) fail.
Hedge your bets, gas hob is more reliable, responds instantly and never suffers a power-cut.Ovaltine, please, Martin 😀

Haha I wonder which one you prefer 🙂

ParticipantUpdate – Different model advice please
I was going to purchase this but the next day the price went up and after checking I found I actually need a semi-integrated rather than fully! Are Neff any good found the Neff S44E45N0GB Dishwasher for £421 in SS can’t find any reviews though and how is the Neff brand in general…as good as Siemens?
Thanks for any advice.JustinL
ParticipantRe: New Dishwasher Advice.
