    One below the grill: P097485

But also shows A081173 on that serial number.

Looks to be the same on the other side, hell knows what the “bedding kit” is all about.

And, should come with the buttons for it.

    Re: appliance fires

Exactly Bob, I wonder how many of us have charred the bejesus out the back of a fridge etc with a turbo torch and on some of those damn built ins, a lot and they’ve been fine.

Which kinda makes a complete mockery of the level of danger being presented as in my mind, it’s gotta be a really serious problem to do as demonstrated.

Or, deliberately set on fire I guess as most anything will burn given the right conditions.

Methinks that’s Which? trying to remain looking relevant in the internet age. 😉

The actual danger posed is hardly what you could call significant. All the more so when assessed in conjunction with other fire risks in people’s homes.

I doubt it’ll make a huge difference in the grand scheme and people (including Which?) will move onto the next big thing soon enough when they find they’re flogging a dead horse.

    Re: Minerva Services

A little bird popped up and whispered that Minerva had lost the Rangemaster work, no idea if true or not.

And that Termikel was all but dead in the UK, again not any clue if true or not as yet.

But isn’t that all Minerva really do?

Overloading probably, tearing the belt up, very common on the commercial ones.

    £25 a call, seriously?

That’s less than Zanussi were paying in the 1980’s!!

    Re: First 4 Service

    No sadly just got this:

    To all engineers

For some time For 4 limited , the parent company of First 4 Service has been pqaying HMRC for VAT arrears from business activities before the inception of First 4 Service. We had an agreement with them to pay it in instalments .

HMRC’s position has dramatically changed this week , and as of this morning they have placed For 4 Limited in receivership and made all staff redundant .
What does this mean to you ?

Well initially you will not be receiving any further jobs , any invoices that were due for payment to you this week , will now be the responsibility of the official recevier . The receiver will be appointed today, and you will be written to in turn as creditors and will ask you to lodge a claim for your outstanding monies .

Any Go Assist open jobs that you are in the process of completing will be paid to you directly by Go Assist / BIG once completed .

Going forward we are in talks with two large companies regarding taking over the day to day running of work on our system , and you will be contacted in due course by our successor to establish if you would like to work for them directly .

Only Matt and Jason will be in the office during this transition , and if you wish to call us to discuss anything we are on 01708 804666. Please be advised that we may be busy on other calls and if we are , please try again later .

I am so very sorry for this situation we find ourselves in , i will continue to update you as i get more information . For now I would like to thank all of you for your hard work and support over the past 5 years . I can honestly say it has been a pleasure to work with you .

    Thank you

    Re: February 2018 WTA conference

Problem is we got MEGA complaints about the bar/food prices at the hotels, a real kicking over it.

To be fair, as someone who paid near £250 for a round of drinks at the Ramada I gotta say, I wasn’t exactly over the moon about that. And, T gave me mega grief about that, probably justifiably.

On top of not exactly stellar food that was pricey it was getting a slagging for those reasons alone.

Then it’s the room prices that a number of people resented.

Then we had the al-in-one-room thing going on and people did comment about not being able to hear what was going on on stage due to chatter round the stands.

All things considered, it had to change.

The compromise here is, I think, better as it’s a business venue, not a jolly.

We’ve had comments about the bar not opening till 5:30 but to me that’s good, people aren’t half cut by lunchtime as some were, comments were made. The bar shuts at 11:30, again means people actually get there in the morning as they’re not sat up till the wee hours getting utterly plastered. And, dare I say it, embarrassing themselves or turning up half way through the morning looking like death warmed up, it’s like a zombie invasion mid morning.

On the food, like I said, not upmarket cuisine but adequate and, at the price you really can’t expect that.

The buffet thing for lunch was superb for what it was though, standard fare that anyone could eat and plenty of it, so much that everyone got food and there was food left!

Tea, coffee and juice as much as you wanted all day long.

If you wanted better, a Costa Coffee on site.

All in I thought it was really good and, really good value.
