KeymasterYou know bazil, if that wasn’t so serious I’d fall about laughing!
I sincerely hope you told them to settle your account then you’d consider it? After you’d finished laughing out loud down the phone at them of course! 😉
I think I knwo who you mean and if my guess is right they owe me money as well and don’t seem to give a jot about it either.

KeymasterYes it would appear that some people don’t like any critism at all, much less the agents (i.e. us) all talking to one another for some strange reason. They must have something to hide or summat, I don’t understand the problem there at all as, if the work is that good and the company that good to work for, what’s the issue with discussing it?

KeymasterYou go after whoever passed the call to you, whether they get paid or not is quite frankly not your problem. This hacked me off more than a little with another WP who refused to even discuss calls that were rejected after they stopped working for another company, needless to say I never saw the money for those calls amongst others.
As for PESN, no, I don’t think anyone ever got any money from that affair and I saw one poor bugger lost over £24K from that alone! I will not expose myself to that level of risk from a third-party agency ever again as I’ve been stung too far too many times to risk it again. So now at the first sign of trouble I bail out, it’s simply not worth it.

An old saying about rats and ships springs to mind! 😉

KeymasterYes, I heard muttering about that as well as unfair contracts etc.
Interestingly on the subject of contracts I was talking to a chap who had a similar contract to the one we had from a certain WP in the IT industry, it went to court and was regarded as being unfair as it prevented the guy from making a living at what he was qualified to do. So my guess is that they would be regarded as restrictive practise and they’d be told to behave.
That aside, my attitude in the past to people like this is that if they have the money to start all the legal BS then they have the money to pay my bill and if they do that then we’d all shut up and all (including them) walk away happy.
As I like to say, always remember who’s name’s on the letterhead and who runs *MY* business.

Oh how true that is!

Then get hung, drawn and quartered by some legal department that needs a job for an afternoon? 😉 Luckily, due to the anonimity and privacy that I so zealously pursue here I don’t even know who the posters to this thread are as I keep no records of it other than an email address.
Apart from which, this forum is clearly stated as being rumour and specualtion only there is no way anyone is going to confirm or deny the information unless one of the parties would care to offer a statement of some kind to clarify matters, which of course they are more than welcome to do either here or a news article on the frontpage.
Of course there’s rarely smoke without fire to coin an old phrase.

KeymasterFFS! That is a joke, a total joke!
Christ, with sentiment the way its running right now that means there’s going to be a lot of people that will not be very happy over the next few days. If people were not happy before this they sure as hell ain’t gonna be impressed with having loads of work rejected again as this isn’t the first time this sorta shit has happened with NESN.
Not good, not good at all.

KeymasterFFS where does this guy get off?
I, personally, wouldn’t resign I’d let him do it and try to justify the action as that allows you more flexibility than he has. I would also wager that he cannot justify it, just as in my case, the excuse used was extremely weak besides which it was also a criminal act if I decide to something about it.
If he terminates you, especially if he does an “immediate” termination after 30 days or so you have the upper hand with them rather than being forced down the 3 month path. Mind you, as soon as they rmove the advance balance, as happened to both Ted and I, you can immediately place them on stop whether your running it down or not as they are then in arrears with you so the action is justifyable.
Just initial thoughts.

KeymasterAnd the hits just keep on comin’ folks!
Very interesting stuff indeed, especially if you are doing a lot of work in that area at the moment.

KeymasterDave_Conway wrote:Get this, “untill we have notification of the total payments due from the audit team, we are unable to tell untill next week, and then it will depend on the funds available”
TBH that more or less confirms what I suspected. NESN are skint and are paying out as they get it or can get the funds from wherever to pay the bills.
Now, since I heard last year that they were on stop with MFI that leads me to the conclusion that this has been on a crash course for a long, long time and that we are probably witnessing the death knell of NESN. It won’t be long now I don’t think and they’ll be a bad memory.

KeymasterSee that pisses me off big time with all these sodding WP’s!
Why can they not simply give the punter our number? I’ll tell you why, because the said punters will whinge about having to make another call, that’s why! Yet we’re just supposed to jump and phone everyone the very second that the fax rolls through at OUR expense in both time and money. Then the silly sods complain when they don’t get an “instant” phone call even if, as has happened often with NESN, we don’t get the call till a day or two later.
Very annoying indeed.

Well there you go, it took a whole week to come out, I’m surprised I thought the bubble would have burst quicker than that.

Keymasterjuan_kerr wrote:The said network director also happens to be an ex Mastercare/Coverplan manager, this should tell you that they will be setting up a Coverplan network to work directly with agents, whether this involves NESN or not remains to be seen.
Very interesting indeed.

😮
All I can say is that I’m glad I’m out of it.
