Re: Bosch WFD2060 w/m – Power avail but no lights, noise or

Looking at the PCB a bit more closely I’ve found 2 x burnt out tracks, a Transistor that has a burst casing so thats probably damaged. On the other side of the board there is a lot of overheating damage in the main power supply area . There is a Transformer that looks fried.

    Basically the board is shot.

Looks like one of the PCB tracks has burnt out in the area that you mentioned.

Trouble is, was it a dodgy solder track that just overheated and burnt out, or did something else further down the line cause a short circuit ???

Hmmm I think i’ll try to repair this one first and see what happens, then maybe get a new/exchange board. I’d hate to buy a new board and then watch it fry.

Re: Bosch WFD 2060 washing machine – Door seal replacement ?

Thanks for the reply. I had a closer look and found the other spring retainer once i’d removed the front wire/spring retainer. I will buy a new door seal in due course, however turning the seal through 180Β° did the trick for the moment, cured the leak 99.99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} and allowed us to get the machine going again, which was essential as we had a big pile of washing and the weather was nice and blowy πŸ™‚

BTW, you don’t need to remove the front panel to fit the inner spring you can do everything through the front door opening, although admittedly it is fiddly and i did need to borrow my wifes spare pair of hands to re-fit the spring, on condition that i didn’t swear πŸ™‚

Re: Indesit C 239 NF (UK). Fridge OK – Freezer not working

Just to give you all a follow up to this snag ( before posting another Q about my faulty Bosch washing machine πŸ‘Ώ ).

I’ve had idesit service guys out on two occasions. each time it was discovered that the refrigerant had leaked out , unfortunately they were unable to either trace the location of, or fix the leak. The did top up the refrigerant on both occasions to ‘keep me going ‘ until a replacement machine arrived. I ordered the replacement about 4 weeks ago now, and keep getting apology notes from Indesit/Hotpoint saying there will be another 2 week delay. I am still in the same situation as before with the freezer being very unreliable , but the fridge working fine.

Based on my experience I could not personally recomend this brand to anybody.

Is it running constantly (24/7) and how hot is it ?

    Dave.

Hello Dave , thanks for replying.

Obviously i can’t monitor the compressor all of the time, however i do think that it is coming on and off , for example if i switch off at the mains and then switch back on again it is a while before the compressor kicks in again. When I looked this morning the freezer fan wasn’t running , but then it started later on, so the fn comes on and off.

The compressor is Hot to the touch but not to a huge degree, I can hold my hand against it, but only for a few seconds. There is a small amount of water in the plastic collection tray on top and so it isn’t so hot that it evaporates it completely or quickly.

I also noticed that the pipes on the freezer evaporator started to freeze , with visible frost on them, and the temp started to drop a little, but it is now raised again and the frost has disappeared.

    HTH.

Edit: I’ve just used a thermometer to measure and i would say that the body of the Motor assy is approximately 58+ΒΊ C
