ParticipantHi Jane,
We have a Hisense, but the american-style (Hisense RS723N4WB1), the quality is very good… We have recommended it to our friends and family and some of these have a Hisense, but other models… We are happy with the temperature regulation and it is surprising the difference a top quality fridge makes to the freshness of food and how much longer it lasts… Even foods which perish quickly last quite some time in our Hisense.
Of course, this will be mainly due to the features it has such as the multi-flow technology and the super freeze/cool function – but from what we can see on AO, the Hisense you have seen also has these. White Goods UK have a list set up to explain the features you should look for too (not sure if you’ve seen it): https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/buying-advice/refrigeration/4111-fridge-freezer-features-explained…
Also – ApplianceDirect have the model for £289, saves £10… Could put it to good use and start filling the wine rack 😉
Kind regards

ParticipantHi Aaron,
There are lots of brands to choose from and a lot of prices too – which kinda gives you a bit of a brain overload right?
The thing to question is whether you are wanting a vented or unvented machine first… If vented, then the majority of machines are very similar and you shouldn’t need to pay more than £200 for one.
If unvented, there is another question…
Have you heard of heat-pump vs condenser? A condenser is your ‘basic’ which has a water tank that needs emptying every so often – looking at £200+. A heat-pump is the same as a condenser, but it ‘recycles’ the heat created which means these new ones use less energy than your fridge! Which kinda puts the rest the high energy bills disadvantage of having a dryer. The only issue is, the price… The technology is fairly new, so you will be looking at £500+. But there is a Beko model which is around £300, but it is really hard to get it in stock (with the price being so good).
Anyway, hope we helped 🙂

ParticipantHi Anjistar,
We find that the french style fridge freezers lose a lot of space in the freezer because of the drawer… So it depends on what you actually fancy with your fridge, whether you want maximised space, or whether you want a particular design. There are some neat features with some french styles, there are some which have a ‘mixed’ drawer, where the temperature is cooler than the fridge, but not a cold as the freezer, which are great for beer storage for parties!! Which, who doesn’t love?
A colleague of our has an american style and finds the huge freezer space comes in handy, especially if you have a family and want the storage space.
As for the Neofrost, this is basically technology which means the cooling of the fridge and the freezer is done separately… The advantage of this is that the cooling is quicker (both fridge & freezer) and that there is less air movement throughout the machine, so you don’t get any smells flowing from the freezer to the fridge or vica versa…
I hope this helped a little…

ParticipantWe hope you managed to find the perfect tumble dryer for your home!! We would definitely like to hear what choice you went for and whether you are happy with it?
We have recently created a ‘best tumble dryer 2019’ list, where we have reviewed the tumble dryers currently on the market – so you can see if there is one on here for you… Sorry this wasn’t ready in 2018 for you. If your machine isn’t on the list but you think it should be, we would be more than happy to review it and add it!
Check out the list here
