I cant stand this “sealed for life” s#it
Everything is going like it 😡
I can’t understand how it’s more environmentally friendly to throw something away instead of fix it? Recycle is great but re use is much better.

Easy way round that is to turn off inlet valve when not in use, just make sure you put the valve in an easy to get at place.

ParticipantRe: ISE 5 Noisy drum
Took me 6 hours when I did it on our Beko and I was knackered at the end of it. Last hour was re fitting the kitchen cupboard door I knocked off when the drum assembly went one way and the case went the other 😳

From what I have found on the net they seem to be a far east thing now, although KARCHER make one and there is one on Amazon.

ParticipantRe: dc24 & dc25 brush motor.
Well have looked at 3 machines 1 dc24 and 2 dc25s the dc24 just needed the reset button pressing :rolls: but on both dc25s the brush motors have had it. Have found the motors on internet for just under £30 but what are the chances of the circuit board controlling them being damaged by the motor going?

Me thinks an investigation of a few brush heads coming on and maybe a few drinks from some grateful work mates 🙂

ParticipantRe: Dyson dc04 motor
I dismantled the DC04 last night (not as easy as a hoover junior) and it seams the nut that holds the fan on decided to make a brake for freedom. New motor found on ebay for £16 delivered so should be up and running again soon. Not looking forward to getting it back together though.

That’s what I thought but was just checking. Brushes are widely available on ebay.

😯 Attractive looking….
I know it’s not environmentaly friendly but I will stick with the cheaper stuff. Old Beko lasted nearly 5 years before bearings started to get noisy. New Beko cost £220 so divide that by 4 years comes to £55 a year I can live with that. My neighbour has had 2 indeshits in the same time.
