ParticipantMany thanks Don, I’ll take a look.
I note the Neff N50 seems to be a little bit cheaper than the Bosch rough equivalent, I’ll take a look at those too. The siemens IQ100 is a little more expensive, seems to be as it has wifi which I can’t imagine needing.

ParticipantTa for advice, much appreciated.
Sounds like we might be out of luck for a combined house and car vacuum cleaner, so might pony up for one of each.
I’m not sure the cheapy cordless will be much cop in terms of battery life, so I’ll check out possibility of running a mains lead out of flat window as it’ll give more options at more sensible prices (we’ve recently moved to a flat as we moved up north for work, but hopefully will be in a house with a drive soon). If that’s not a goer, the dyson car and boat is discontinued and so on sale, and comes with a car charger which might mitigate some of the issues.
I’ve used the petrol station car vacuums a few times, but found them a mixed bag with some barely managing to raise any sort of vacuum – I think some are looked after more than others. I’ll see if I can find a decent one in the area, which would help make this all moot!

ParticipantApologies, by ‘upright’ I meant ‘stick’. The actual devices themselves look identical to the handheld, just with differing attachments.

ParticipantRe: Good quality UK-made integrated dishwasher?
I note the Bosch SMV50C00GB currently has £50 cashback, making it about £330.

Worth considering? I’m not sure what the various features I should be looking for are – it’s got an A+ rating, and I’d hope would be of decent enough quality.

Ta Don – I recall there was a plant near Yate (just north of Bristol) which was – I think – Indesit, assume either they don’t make dishwashers or they’re out of business.
I’ll have a look at Siemens and the Bosch and Neff machines. We’ve got a Siemens washing machine that’s going well, so more than happy to consider those. Assume the Japanese/Korean/Taiwanese manufacturers such as LG and Samsung aren’t quite up to the German quality levels?
