Ok
Done some testing Fan is going, heater getting hot, water going inside. To me drying components working. Removed pump checked for blockages and nothing, retried and now getting 8 flashes. Pump doesnt seem to be removing the water even though it sounds like it is working. I get a rush of water noise when the pump stops.
Took the pump off and removed the spindle magnet and it was all clogged up, removed it as best I could and refitted, but still get 8 flashes.
Do I need a new pump?

This morning it wouldnt wash at all it appeared that it wasnt letting water in. It would just click its way through the wash cycle and stop on the spanner. However after moving it on a level it worked fine and water started coming in again and then it failed again at the next cycle. So I had to manually put it through each cycle.
Could it be the cold inlet valve?
If so is there a way to unclog them or is it just a matter of replacement?

Checked that this morning all seems to be clear, water came pouring out, I also poured water down the drainage hose and it came out. It only happens intermittently as last night it work fine.

Partt eventually arrived and in the end was quite easy to fit it took me less than an hour, I am still interested to hear about the othe issue you read about if you have time.

Now your got me think with your “(amongst other things on that machine )” comment, I have had to replace the main programme selector knob but nothing else so far and Ive had it about two years, this “fault” I caused but what other failures should I look out for?
ps part not arrived yet.
