ParticipantActually I may have fixed it. The extractor is set up to vent the air outside the building. However I found that the installers had fitted carbon filters! These have been in there since 2016… With them gone the unit is now venting again.

ParticipantThanks kwatt. Does that mean if I got Pacifica Group in to do the work that they would be unable to complete the repair because they couldn’t source the fan unit/motor (I guess this would be replaced as a entire part, not seperately). Or would they likely have better access to spares?

ParticipantIn case anyone reads this, here’s how it went:
I managed to remove the dishwasher door and confirm that it was a printed circuit board behind the program button that was at fault – this and it’s plastic housing look relatively easy to DIY replace.
However the plastic in the bigger surrounding door panel unit was cooked so when I removed the door screws the mounts in this seperate part sheared off.
Basically once you factored in buying both parts it was cheaper to get it done professionally. Pacifica Group who service some Lamona items did a great job for a bit under £200 – parts were included in the cost – although it did take a month and two visits as it seems they’ve got a lot of work on.

ParticipantThanks Dave will give it a shot.
