I thought it was ok to throw the power straight in the drum before loading because the sump hose has a floating ball in it stopping the powder going down the sump into the pump. ❓

I have found in the past that if the mains socket is behind the D/W, the mains plug “melts” into the black bitumen on the rear of the appliance if the machine is pushed up to the socket. When the appliance cools down the plug is then stuck to back of the machine. This can cause an intermittant contact with the mains socket.
