Re: Neff Combi Microwave – help please

Was originally completely dead. Replaced mains pc board (652009) which has brought it to life. Now working ok on oven and grill settings but microwave cuts out after 2 seconds. Not the inverter, magnetron or door switches as these have all been checked and replaced in turn.

Accordingly to Mrs Jackal “All the f***ing time” but lets not go there.

Sorry guys I did try to warn you what I was doing with this shower. I just hope some people listened.

Hi. Just thought I would add my experience to this thread.
I had already taken on work from them before I saw this and other threads about GoLocal. Apparently he closed down GoLocal Reactive Ltd the day after passing me two jobs but before I had invoiced them. Nice!

After many telephone calls and emails to them I got nowhere so contacted Jackal for some advice. I must say I am glad I did because he helped me to draft a letter to them threatening court action which (eventually) produced results. Last Thursday I was paid the amount owed for the repairs carried out in April, but more importantly only a few weeks after Jackal became involved.

I wish to offer my thanks Jackal for your help and encouragement to pursue these buggers, and to advise anyone else with outstanding debts with any of GoLocal companies to continue to go after them until paid.

As to the future, once bitten…….

I have tried to sign up for this a couple of times without success, so gave up in the end. Any other engineers found the same problem?

    Re: Microwave leakage testing

I was very surprised to read some of the posts above. I repair microwaves for a living and do leak test them. I have two types of meter – the Celtek A100 and the Apollo X1 and get them calibrated each year. I cannot believe that some people would say “why bother?”
Still, each to their own I suppose. Maybe I was brought up in a different era, or just trained by a responsible manufacturer.

A little more info if it helps. I had replaced the 1.25A fuse on the control panel (which was o/c) before noticing this faint noise. I have fitted another w/w resitor but it is getting hot with the appliance not in use. Anyone help with a diagram please?

Of course you could telephone Panasonic Customer Service to point you in the direction of an authorised repairer!

    Re: Microwave inverter repairs?

I tried QER many years ago but they have stopped doing them. Are you buying them from Panasonic because I have noticed they are a lot cheaper than they used to be some years ago? Also, Panasonic inverters in Siemens, Bosch and Neff microwaves does bring the costs down drastically.

I know its a little off topic but in Morrisons today they had microwaves at only £15! Cheapest I have ever seen. Saw two of them going through the checkouts same time as us.
