ParticipantI think it has been clear for a long time that lee8 is full of it. It seems to me he as got something against free enterprise. Its the same noises he posts but just said in a different way each time. Its my guess his a employed engineer who doesnt have to worry were the next buck is coming from unlike the rest of us. I have nothing against employed engineers but when the topic is about agents and contract work then it my belief that Lee8 you should !!!!!BUTT OUT!!!!!. no one cares what you think anymore. As far as i.m concerned your posts have un-helpful and not wanted.

Participantsquardman yes they have employed as well as franchises.

ParticipantLee the only negative posts I have put on here are in reply to your constant negativity against JTM/0800 You my friend use every opportunity and every subject to twist the knife. Personally I have been in this business for 14 years both as employed and self employed. So what gives you the right to question my business decisions and integrity and the business decisions of others???? Its easy to sit behind a user name and spout rubbish when you think that there is no comeback.
You do not have the monopoly on domestic appliance repairs and the last i heard no one died and made you god so why not just stick to the sensible posts you post on here because when you start mentioning 0800/JTM it devalues the points your are trying to make and most of the time they are educated points.

ParticipantThe trouble is that there will be always someone out there willing to take a reduction in rates. And with hard times ahead who wouldn’t. They all know this and thats how they can justify it
mikeday1
Participantmaybe it was 0800 in disguise. did he have a 7 foot screw driver.

ParticipantDidn’t see the silly stuff if it refers to me asking lee8 if he is in fact lee bell. Lee bell is a real person that used to work for JTM. and also I worked with him a MFI as well. I was putting 2 and 2 together. Lee8 8 standing for LeeB like my old pass word being M1CHA3L, Lee8 LeeB. any one hello. Never mind if you want to be offensive then send me a person email.

ParticipantRe: JTM again!
It is a vendetta. lee for some reason you are bitter and twisted. but my guess is no one cares what you think. K is right every time some one mentions JTM you do your very best to twist the knife. You dont work for them any more so move on pal. You have said your bit know so time to keep quite no ones interested any more.

funkyboogy wrote:we were very good at chasing jtm for returns etc, we had a specialist in our office due to the fact he spent most of his working day dealing with jtm… in the end we felt jtm were not worth the hassle,
even after chasing credits etc we still couldnt make it work , we were inv for 100 jobs average per month , but were always in debit due to parts..
really pity anyone working for them, what a way to work..
find it ludicrous the prices they charge for hec parts as the appliance only cost peanuts ..

ps looks like 0800 has had it bit of free time , he,s nearly replied to every post lol ……no offence 0800 , youve paid for your franchise so i suppose you need to believe … i used to stick up for gbdar hope 0800 doesnt go the same route
Ha ha ha fair enough mate. I’m not sticking up for JTM i’m only answering people querys and trying to help. Ive not got much free time though busy as hell. My gripe is with lee he seems to answer every post. He has very clearly had a bad experiance with JTM and wants his pound of flesh. But this doesnt help the guys on here who are asking questions about JTM. We all know what work provideres are like Iv’e worked for them all in the past. GBDAR, SERVIS and INDESIT to name a few and they were a joke.
85{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of my work used to come from JTM and they do make mistakes with invoicing and parts etc but then I had all this with the companys above so what do you do. But has ive said before for approx 1200 calls a month it was worth the head ache.
Now I’m a franchise and can honestly say that personally i’m better off.
What i do know is that they are looking at the issues raised on here. I have no problem with them myself and I have been with them as a agent and a franchise.

Steven wrote:Hi guys
I find communication between individules at jtm a problem but what i have tended to do is get a name and email or number from the relevant departments and deal directly with them all the time.
For accounts send your invoices if not on line by email to one person that way you know it gets dealt with (thats the theory)
Returns
Get hold of accounts the same person you send your invoices too that way you can always track it, give them details of the parts for credit.
They will give you a authorisation number SRN
Contact email Ware house department is Alan (warehouse@jtmcontracts.co.uk)
If you have parts to go back email him deatils of invoice, how many parcels whats going back give the SRN returns number.Just make sure you keep paper work of all transaction and leave a copy with the parts.
He will tell you a day for collection how.
Then just check that they have credited you with accounts after.
It can be a pain in the a..se to do all this for the hassel as you make nothing on the parts in the first place
If you need an answer to something then just email as many departments as possible someone will reply.
StevenCouldn’t agree more thats exactly what i do. Also I deal with the same people all the time that way i build a relationship with the other person and its a you scratch my back and i’ll scratch yours.

70 completed jobs @ average £35.00 = £2450 plus spares supplied
The above is for one month
telephoned for amount owing to us less spares supplied
Yes, you have £2450 cheque in the post to you
Cheque arrives 2 weeks later for £240
Phone call: Why £240?
reply: we deducted spares
But we used the spares and the amounts are on the invoice along with the ref numbers, so what about the labour @ £35.00 X 70?
Errrr I dont know!
Repeat the above mathematics again
Reply: erm I dont know whats gone wrong
I will send you copies just in case you missed some invoices
copies sent
Phone call: We have an amended amont of £2200 less parts
What parts?
The current parts you have
But I requested you collect and credit the parts 2 weeks ago.
Gents the story goes on and the parts are still here waiting for collection after several promises.
Amount for parts deducted from cheque.
Another 45 days wait! Total frustration!!!
This happened every month.
I believe its not the staff, but the management who have a complete disregard to the guys out in the field making them money.
I now refuse to work for them, and have other more reliable and regular payers on our books.
Dont touch them with a bargepole. You have been warned.
No slander intended, just my experience.
That should not happen and yes this as happened to me before. If you contact me by a personal message then i may be able to help. With the correct telephone number for the people who I deal with when this happens.mikeday1

JohnS.1 wrote:Mikeday is right, but the problem me thinks is there is some form of dislocation between the departments, especially account and spares, who never seem to get things to connect. Another day and another broken promise regarding the collection of return parts. This time I was given a collection number too…the saga continues chaps. :rolls:
that i think is what they call hitting the nail on the head. spot on mate i know that they are looking at this and are putting something in place to make it a smoother process.thats what is needed comments that are helpfull and not sl*ging off the hand that feeds you.
mikeday1
ParticipantKwatt I agree with you its not all plane sailing and I have issues with spares in the past but what i will say that when I have it has been delt with quickly. Also rejected invoices doesnt mean you wont get paid half the time it just mean that they need more information. The accounts are told like all companys to chuck out say Recalls but when you query them and explain to the staff that its not a recall then i find that it gets sorted. Its a case of you win some you lose some exactly the same as a paying customer.
But I except that my experiances may differ from others all I can say is take it up with the directors as thess are the decision makers not the staff.
