    Thanks Dave. Beko have subsequently emailed again and say:

    “Upon looking into this with our spare parts team, I can confirm that the part you are querying about fits at the bottom of the drip tray just above the motor, the drip tray needs to sit on the sticky pad.”

    I assume they mean the condenser/evaporator fan motor, but am hoping there might be some sticky residue to give me a clue. I might be able to get the serial number tomorrow, as it belongs to a relative. I’ll keep you updated.

    Thanks r600a. I’m not sure that she has got it wet, because she’s on nights at the mo and has been asleep all day. I forgot to say in my initial post that it has happened before for short periods of time, both when it’s got wet and when it hasn’t. This might sound a little silly, but would the ignitor run off the same switch as the electric oven? I’m not sure where the switch for the cooker is (it was there when we moved in – the oven that is, not the switch!).
