Cheers mate, should i replace the tacho first, can i test the motor in any way?
I cant find the tacho spare part do i need to go to Candy for this?

thats causing the problemi have a cheapo multi meter lol
my electrical experience is basic ie just diy stuff really. There are electricians at my work, am i able to remove the module or other parts needing tested and ask them to have a look at it?

hi. i dont know what the h8.1 module is, i did a search and it shows a circuit board thingy lol. I cant see anything like that in the top, is that where it would normally be located?

They should still be making contact with the commutator though.
yeah they were making contact and they did not appear to be stuck either. so whats next, i can get new brushes but should i test the motor to see if it has failed??

hi mate thanks for the reply, they are a bit pitted, i took pics so hopefully that will help determining if the brushes are faulty.
