Sorry – the TOC? is that a capacitor? Could I just retain the end casting and replace the brush holder unit itself? Thanks for the help by the way.
The machine appears to be ok again after reassembly this time, must have bent a contact out of alignment – they seem so flimsy for the job?

Errr yes, because I cant see how i could make anything else fit? The ones with springs on the wires wouldnt do the job because the springs would get in the way and theres the two spiral springs built into the Brush mounting plate? So yes its the tails with clips.
Just taken it to bits and reassembled, commutator was very carboned up but still doesn’t work after reassembly, I’m now suspecting the contacts into the windings block because I’ve had trouble with that before!

    Re: BOSCH WFT2800 Drum dead!!!

😕 Ok well theres plenty of carbon in the machine, one brush worn right down and not sprung onto the commutator, but still appears to be touching. Comm. black polished but still intact. Carbons on order.

There doesn’t sem to be a right or wrong way to re-assemble motor coil block yet one side has three wires to contacts and other side only one – does this matter? Brush assy does have three same numbered contacts to each side though).

Thanks for your help so far, hope it works when the new carbons are in!

Should I check out the power board while I’m inside the beast?

Thanks for replies to date, No error codes on display at all, dryer timer, when set, cuts off to 5mins after about 30 secs! will power off (unplugging of course) and take a look inside ‘n report back later.
