ParticipantTV 630s were on Watchdog due to fire hazards but I think they were due to heating elements

ParticipantRe: Zanussi problem
Hmmmm, I don’t think it is related, the Zanussi DE6850 (and DE6855)were recalled due to an electrical fault.

I wouldn’t call it beloved if it burst into flames!
Has Smeg given you compensation, or are looking into it, say a product recall?

Even though now we know nothing else, personally Whirlpool are becoming extremely cheap. They can’t even admit that their dryer has caught fire when firemen confirmed it, Judy confirmed it, forensics say a faulty part was present, all the evidence is there, maybe she should take them to court. This was entirely Whirlpool’s fault, and they know it, so they need to sort this out properly, not start saying “The dryer was off, yes it was faulty, but it was off” but by watching the video, the dryer seemed to be badly damaged, like the front panel was ripped off, so it is purely logical the fire ripped through it.
