Re: Bosch SGS6302GB/07 update to starts and dies

    Thank you…

    Firstly
Before I take the sides off is there anything to investigate in the door… I mentioned a kind of solenoid clicking noise (in my original post) which can be heard when the machine won’t start or if it has jumped to “0” then on/off is pressed to cause a restart… typically 2 or 3 clicks can be heard then we either have lift off or the machine display blacks out….

    Secondly
I picked up from another post that holding program buttons 2 and 4 (left to right) causes the machine to drain. this has been useful particularly when it has stopped mid cycle… are the any other magic combinations that would help in testing/diagnosis… a Bosch machine

    With thanks

    brushes arrived today… great service

fitted reasonably easily but did have to remove motor completely… thanks to other post regarding easing the motor off nylon bushes… machine initially very noisy but settled after a couple of washes today… thanks for advice… just waiting for the next item to breakdown…

    With thanks

    OK

futher investigation… I now have sucessfully removed and cleaned the pipe in question but it was not blocked.
I have also removed the filter grill from inside the machine and removed the impellor cover to check that too… everything seems OK… another observation is that when the machine is turned on it immediately starts ( i.e. it doesn’t do the usual gradual start) as if it is already a little way into the prgram.
I also notice that the time for the program I usually used was reduce, normally the display read 96 (minutes) it now reads 80… it’s very much like the cycle isn’t finishing properly and so the machine assumes because there is still some water at the start that the program has already begun?

Still when it reaches “0” the machine continues to operate

    Dear Gegsy

The only torx screws I can see are at the sides… I took one out when removing the sides I would have said it was nearer 60mm in length… is that what you meant or are should there be torx on the front? (can’t see any)

    thanks

    Thanks Gegsy,

I had a look at the plastic bumper under the door… but I’m not sure how to remove it… (control panel facia is cracked so I assume that this panel is the same flimsy ABS)

any suggestions? there are no obvious fixing points or places to insert a screw driver blade and pop it off?

Metering unit doesn’t look too bad apart from one “piston” type part (lower left near door hinge mech) connected to a switch and a connecting rod connecting to what I assume is the “anti flood” float I have read about in other posts

    thanks
