    Re: Lamona HJA8514 element

Many thanks Dave, arrived Saturday, all fitted and working perfectly 🙂

The NTC sensor was completely isolated by a layer of gunk.

    Hi all,

Any idea when the part will be dispatched? I ordered last Friday and haven’t had notification of dispatch yet 🙁

    Cheers,

    Thanks Dave, ordered 🙂

Any tips on how they come out?! Haven’t had a good look yet but from a quick glance could see how they are retained?

    Many thanks,

    Re: Lamona HJA8514 error problem

Okay so the element is open circuit so definitely gone!

Having had a look at it there is no extra connector on it as per the suggested replacement from the spares shop part number 41028717.

Could anyone confirm if this is the right element for this machine?

    Many thanks,
    Mark

Re: Hotpoint WMA44 Tripping earth leakage

Think I might have been lucky on this one! Upon removing the control panel you could see where the wiring had been in contact with the machine frame. Although the cable holes have had they’re edges rolled to prevent a sharp corner you could still see where the wires had been rubbing. Whilst the insulation of the wires wasn’t worn through it was worn in those area’s and knowing how sensetive earth leakage trips are was probably enough to trip. A week on now after routing the wires away from the frame and atleast half a dozen washes I’ve had no further problems as yet!

If I do it’ll be a call out job then. Thanks for the advice…

    Cheers,
