Re: Diplomat gas hob – 2 jammed knobs

    Hi wsts,
I realise figures I quoted were probably on the low side and that’s why I’ve opted to go for a new unit. I’ve got a Neff T2124N1EU
S/S finish hob for £121 with a 2 year guarantee.

Thanks Greg, thats been a great help. We’ve got a Neff oven so I guess a Neff hob wont look out of place.

    Cheers

Re: Diplomat gas hob – 2 jammed knobs

Blimey, that was a blisteringly fast response!! Thanks.

I totally take your point about not forcing it and, believe me, I was very careful when I was doing it.

It sounds then like it’s probably time to replace the hob. If we got someone out I’d probablyget them to replace all four taps and I’m guessing this would lead to a bill in the region of £60 – 80? On the other hand I can probably pick up a new hob for less than £150.

Any recomendations as to makes to choose or probably more to the point, makes to avoid?

    Cheers

Many thanks for that Superfix. That’s the answer I was hoping for.

Re: Diplomat ADP3101 Built-in Oven – Energy Rating?

Thanks for the reply. Must admit I was expecting it to be no better than a C rating but, anyway, I’ve splashed out on a new A rated Neff now, so hopefully we’ll at least see some minor savings.

    Cheers

Many thanks for that guys. Sounds like a Bosch is the way to go.

Re: Diplomat ADP3101 oven only getting slightly warm

Many thanks for your swift replies chaps!! Excellent, informative article by Ken too. In fact I went on to find a number of other interseting and useful pages as well. It may well explain why these elements I’ve been fitting failed after what I consider to be a relatively short time.

Right, back to my problematic oven, it sounds as though you agree with my original thoughts that the grill element is the problem here, and since I already know that it has failed, I may as well start by replacing that.

Would you happen to know whether I’m right in thinking that I’ll have to take out the oven in order to fit the element from the rear?

    Cheers
