Re: Whirlpool washer will not spin

Hi, could possibly be the brushes on the motor wearing out. If the appliance drains the water out okay but gives no motor action on a spin programme(especially when loaded with washing) the brushes are often the cause. Not sure what the fault code indicates

Hi, most companies will give you the same advice as the british gas repair man. The refrigerant used in your appliance is known as R12 and is a CFC, as such it cant be used anymore. There is an R12 substitute and you might be able to find a local refrigeration company who would be willing to fit a new compressor and recharge with an R12 substitute, not sure on cost though, probably about £150

Could be an NTC (temp sensor)fault. This model has a safe mode which reverts to running the compressor on and off at timed intervals to preserve food when a fault is detected.

Re: Zanussi 1600 XC (WJD 1667 W) “locking” in wash

    Hi,
could possibly be an incrongruency between the two pressure switches (analogue and electronic) during the fill phase. Does the “end” light flash repeatedly or in a sequence? (i.e 4 flashes then a break etc), this sometimes indicates a fault code.

AEG changed the style of the detergent dispensors so dont worry if the new one isnt identical!

    Hi,
can u hear the drain pump running?
If so, it probably is a blockage somewhere. Check the plumbing where the drain hose connects. Is it possible that grease or food waste has been poured down the sink and blocked the drain hose?

    Re: AEG OKO_FAVORIT 50750VI – compartment door doesn’t open

    Hi
    fitting isnt too bad.
    POWER OFF!
Undo the screws down the right and left sides of the stainless inner door to remove the outer door panel( u might have to loosen the fascia retaining screws to make this easier). When u get the outer door panel off the dispensor is held in place with 6 screws and pushes out. Usually 2 or 4 wires connect the solenoid, depending on if it is a model with a rinse aid indicator light.

    Hi,
I’ve seen this once or twice before. Usually caused by a triac fault on the main pcb (tiny so hard to see). Try disconnecting the faulty recirculation pump (appliance unplugged!) and see if the appliance runs okay without it. I suspect that the pcb will be blown though, although there is a built in safety drain feature for some faults where the pcb runs the drain pump when an error is detected!

Re: Zanussi FJR 1454W on 60 Hz.

E90 indicate a communications error between the fascia PCB and the main PCB. HAd a problem with an appliance on a caravan site which was running from a generator. Unfortunately, the different frequency plays havoc with the timing of the PCB and there is nothing that can be done
