Currently the rates seem to vary, depends who’s asking and, depends what you ask for with some. But, about the £40-41 seems to be about the kick off point.Well I’m fresh back from my extended Christmas break and I see you’ve been busy Ken offering the benefit of your advice toward the gathering few. And your point will scarcely be overlooked I dare say but please be aware that many who take up the ‘work offer’ could well stand to gain from the opportunity.
The monies mentioned are negotiable and potentially lucrative given the ideal circumstances. Therefore it is fair to say that everyone is free to make up their own mind. It is after all a work offer and, in this day and age, shouldn’t be overlooked and rejected carte blanche.
I’ve searched for a page that invites an application or tender to do this work, but for the life of me I can’t find it.Can anyone tell me how to get asked or offer to do this work?

Who would one contact if interested in offering their services?
I suspect head office, and will probably try them, but if anyone know’s a direct route to the movers and shakers, I’d be very grateful for the relevant information.

If I’m going to go it alone, this feature would be handy.
Where in the northwest are you based, mate?

ParticipantRe: Alternative to a van.
I have a Peugeot Partner Combi, which is an estate car but with the capacity and dimensions of a Partner van when the seats are down. Brilliant bit of kit.

My past experiences with Whirlpool, I noticed, certainly from my perspective, they had a lack of technical staff. Do companies not bring apprentices through nowadays?
Anyway, back on point…..do you think they would be open for more tenders to become a service partner?

What, Whirlpool recruiting more companies, or the already established service partners recruiting staff?

What’s the chance of independent firms getting some of the work? Surely there’ll be too much for their staff?

The programme runs fine water enters the machine and you can hear it washing and you hear it drain away, It then stops and emits water from below the door and floods the kitchen
What is the length of time between “stops” and “emits water”?
.Checked door seal (good). I lay the machine on its side and drained all the water, restarted the machine and worked fine for a month, (now the problem is back) it worked fine which is very confusing!!
.If this is what I think it is (awaiting answer from above question), then you have ‘adjusted’ the waste pipe when you pulled the appliance out to investigate the flooding. Over the course of the following month, the waste pipe has slipped back below the drain spigot allowing sink water to freely flow into your appliance.

If your compressor is hot to the touch but there is an absence of cooling in your freezer compartment, then your unit has suffered a leak of coolant.
If your compressor is cold to the touch, and there’s power to the display/interior light, then there’s a whole host of possible causes.

Ah the memories. All the recon shop owners gathering at Big Phil’s scrap warehouse in Preston, waiting for his wagon to come in.
I’ve bought nearly new machines that were wrote off with a blocked filter. Good old Comet.
Sorry for the hijack, Simon.

Huge generalisation but I’ve had 5 beers.
Why are plenty of people leaving the trade? Are the insurance companies still offering ‘out-of-guarantee, cash paying customers, cover for their already broken machines?
Customer….”Hello, can you send an engineer out to my washer, please?”
Call Handler…”Sure, call out charge/labour is £80 but you could buy our insurance policy for £100 p/a which covers you for parts and labour, including this repair?”
Customer….”Well I’d be stupid not to”
😡 😥 🙁 :eeek:

I heard this yesterday also. One of my old friends from the industry worked there.
What happens to all the customers awaiting repairs in Haworths’ service area?
