    Re: Diplomat oven shorting out

If the timer is still lit, the terminal block is probably still OK. Blowing fuses is usually down to element failure. Lack of any fan oven operation would point to a problem with the oven selector switch; assuming that the timer has a time set and is switched to manual.

    Power off if going in…..

Clicking noise will be a raised segment on the drive motor commutator (Where the brushes rub.). They don’t always survive the brush change for long unfortunately.

You’ll be looking at £100 plus to replace.

    Replacement pump is HERE.

Worth checking the filter and pump housing first, as terrible noises are often 5p pieces.

Re: AEG Competence 3210BU fan access

You can access the fan only by removing the rear cover in the oven cavity. To access the fan motor you will need to get the oven out and remove the rear panel.

    Power off first.

Plug kettle into socket and see what happens first. Then you need to check function of on/off switch (you said you had difficulty and they do occasionally fail). Possible that the power supply on the pcb is on it’s way out or has bad solder joints.

Power off for the latter two.

    Re: Diplomat D/W ADP8322 7 flashes

LH panel off, little pcb lower down has the reed switch soldered to it. The magnet on the water wheel causes the switch to open and close as it rotates past it; the computer counts the pulses generated. No pulses = F7.
