Blown mains suppressor, dodgy solenoid on dispenser can cause weird behaviour. Got to say yours sounds like a straight pcb failure.

Yes it does…… Bad contacts at pcb on fill chamber is a very common problem, failed reed switch as well.

Jim, I’ve got a few sheets left. Down in Cornwall this week, though.

Why not download the form and fill it in honestly, Lee. First time I did it, I got a nasty surprise.

New Scud is supposed to be a bit shakey – lots of clutch/transmission problems.

I simply took the rear panel off and reached in from there. Bit of patience and fiddling about getting the pads fully rubbed down into place, but quite straightforward really.

You need an automotive panels place – they keep all the prep and finishing stuff as well as just panels. Mine were special order – next day delivery.

Plug something else into the washing machine socket and see if that works. If it does, the problem is in the machine. The mains suppressor is at the back of the casing, next to where the main power cable enters the machine. They go bang regularly. If that is OK, the problem is probably in the computer board which runs the machine.

    Hope that’s clear enough.

Power off, decor door panel off (Slacken screws 2 + 4 on the door edge), remove lower front panel. Towels down, bend front edge of tray downwards and the water should run out. Mind the edges – you can shave with them.
