Powerpoint is a name given to proprietory badged kitchen appliances, rather in the way that Diplomat and Hygena were MFI brand names. The agents on this instance appear to be:

    Shomar Ltd.
Unit 9 Western Ind Est, Dublin 12.
    Tel: +353(1)4509150

    Hope that’s some help,

16uf from memory. Wire the terminals diametrically opposite each other and you won’t go wrong.

F2 is flood protection system activated – the base tray under the machine probably has water in it. Drain the tray to reset. If you get a repetition, find the leak…..

    Power off first.

Plungers on the tank and condenser ducting blocked/jammed/broken would be a good place to start.

    GOC218-80, BTW (or you’ll never get parts…)

    Two socks…….. 😆

Seriously, filter not located correctly; tub to pump hose twisted/kinked upon refitting; eco ball pushed up above collar can all stop it emptying. If the pump’s not actually running there may be a foreign object in the impellor itself or the wiring is disturbed from your previous work.

Drum and shaft as an assembly – about £95 – p/no 97910285. spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you one promptly if you wished to go ahead.

This job will take a repairer the best part of two hours. The entire tub assembly needs to be removed from the machine and split, so the cabinet needs to be stripped as well.

Labour rates vary widely across the UK – up ‘ere in’t north, you’d be looking at £75 from me – £45 for the first hour and £30 for the second. Dahn Saaf you can probably add on half as much again.

If you do do this yourself, take pics and make diagrams……

It means that the triac switching the pump on and off on the pcb has failed. However, you should check aquastop (if fitted) and p/sw functgion as well.

Heater may have failed. Connections at heater may have burnt out. Most likely burnt out solder joint on pcb in control panel.

Power off if fixing this yourself.

Re: SMEG DWI 410 no water from the spray arms

There are two solutions to this, both of which involve the use of No.1 earhole.

After the machine has filled, can you hear a faint humming noise? If you can, there is power going to the motor and the capacitor may well be the solution; unless the pump is jammed by a foreign body. You’ll need one of THESE.

If you can hear the motor whirring away, the impellor may have sheared from the pump shaft and may not be moving the water. A pump housing and impellor kit may be required.

Stay safe – power off if working on the machine.

Strangely enough…… Not one, all week if you discount the Hotpoint stuck on tEst which needed a few buttons tickling.

    Unusual though.
