    Well done.

For future reference, the white grease is congealed fat and it accumulates through not taking heavy deposits off the crockery before washing.

Remember, it’s a dishwasher, not a waste disposal unit.

B030 is a varistat. You want B003, potentiometer, p/no 502004800 or 801. Any Merloni parts stockist should be able to supply.

    Re: Ignis ADL348….why me?

F4 means no drain detected in the time allowed.

    Important question:

Does the machine drain the water out or not?

If NO, in order of easyness (Is that a word? It should be…), the machine may have a blockage. If you can hear the drain pump running, start with the sink coupling – is the spigot blocked? If you can’t hear the drain pump running, there is probably a foreign object in the drain pump jamming it. With the power off, remove the lower cover plate – the drain pump is at the front and is a twist fit to remove. BE CAREFUL – Whirlpool employed some of Wilkinson Swords finest engineers to ensure that the edge of the undertray is honed to a killing edge. The drain pump itself may have failed, but that’s unusual.

If YES, the machine is not detecting that the water has gone. Remove the filters in the centre of the base of the machine and look at the 3 o’clock position in the hole revealed. You will see a black grid. This is prone to choking with fatty deposits. You can use plenty of hot water and an old toothbrush to try and scrub it clean. If that doesn’t do the trick, it’s a twist fit from underneath to remove, then try cleaning it. Commonly, the microswitch on the back of the unit fails and simply doesn’t switch over, in which case, you’ll need one of THESE.

Stay safe, power off at all times.

On/off switch is a likely candidate. Door latch switch is another. Failing that, check the wiring where it turns under the edge of the tub.

    Power off first, please.

Nothing listed – just the flange with the flap valve.

Re: F&P Aquasmart Model WL70T60 Diagnostic Mode

Diagnostic procedures are outlined in the sticky at the top of the forum.

49 indicates a cold water valve problem, not specifically a failed valve. 24v valve should show a resistance of 64ohms when metered. Wiring is a common issue. If you have continuity and resistance through the loom to the valve from the Motor Controller end, you probably have a failed board.

Actually, don’t send them via the Kilmarnock address – kwatt’ll get them first……. 😆

The current generation of Chinese manufacturers do not innovate or invent. They copy. They may buy redundant production lines, complete with intellectual copyright, they may just steal the designs as Chinese law does not recognise copyright at all. Either way, the results are poor due to their manufacturing processes.

They are actually perfectly capable of making to any standard you wish, but as usual, the big boys buyers just specify “cheap” and that’s exactly what you get.
