Re: Hotpoint DWM55 – Error lights

A-ha… may have spoken to soon. The dishwasher is certainly making noises towards being fixed, but one of the lights that was flashing before (the 45oC one) is now constantly flashing, and no more progress than that! Any ideas?

Edit – By the way, and this has no bearing on whether you can help me any further, but i have to say that this website is fantastic, and has already saved me loads of money, simply by having someone explain things in a way that’s easy to understand. If I have to go out and get a mechanic at least I’ll know I’ll have tried, and that wouldn’t happen without this website. Ta!

    Howdy,

Well, with screwdriver, pliers, towels and your helpful info I’ve been inside the thing, unconnected what I assume is the pump, given it a clean, and the washer is at least doing something now. Not sure it’s operating as was – the lights don’t seem to be doing anything I recognize for a start – but we seem to have something towards a functioning dishwasher. Thank-you for all your help!

Okay, from the left it goes Rinse Aid, 65oC, 55oC, and then 45oc and 40oc, which are the two that were flashing (followed by Prewash & 50oC). So that’s lights 4 and 5, if you’re counting from the left (and including Rinse Aid).

    Thanks for your help.

Base I think – its the oven that won’t heat up, but the grill and fan work ok.
