    thanks guys the only thing is as most of us my company van is at home my work is sent to there i dont go to the office 170 miles away so the way i see it is im at work the min i get in my van as that is my “office” so how can they deduct pay because your “office” wont move i think i need a 4wheel drive office lol if i get deductions i will fight it they supply the van for you to do the job if its not able to do that how can that be our fault ?

    the element you should fit is 481231018585 this a 1900w element the you quoted is 481225928679 a 2050w element hope this helps 🙂

    please dont bypass the bimetal its there for a reason change it but dont bypass it controls heat and brings the board out of defrost 🙂

    could be the bimetal stat part number 481232058132 it could be stuck in defrost it is behind the panel in the freezer power off and unplug first 🙂

    check the “BEND” from the heater sometimes they collapse check when running with the cover off you will see it if it is that phil

    your machine is quite old overten years i bet you would not get a new part i think you will find its not a model on the whirpool disc sorry 😥

    could be you have a leak as these ones have a float in the base and will put the pump on if the base fills up with water if you tip the machine you may find water comes out of the base best to get it checked out dont forget to unplug first 8)
