Hi Martin,
Yes the filters are cleans on a regular basis and the fluff is cleaned up with the vac. It’s strange the first load in the dryer is fine, all subsequent loads smell musty.

Hi Yes we clean the fluff filter after each use and vacuum the condenser behind the service door. There doesn’t appear to be a way of cleaning the condenser like there was on our old Beko condensing drier.

Hi Seamy, yes the pat number I posted was for the pressure switch, I was not sure if the modification was just a change in design of the pressure switch or some other modification like relocating the pressure switch.

Hi Seamy the part number of the new pressure switch that was installed when the engineer last fixed the machine was 140000554067

Hi Seamy they replaced the pressure sensor like for like with no modification. Do you know if there is a modification kit for this model and if so how long ago was the modification published ?

It’s been a while now since I posted and we had the dishwasher repaired under warranty. When the engineer arrived with the new switch, he installed it and left the old one behind. I opened up the old air pressure switch to find a layer of gum covering the diaphram and so stopping the switch from operating correctly. There is clearly a design issue here, we have had the air pressure switch replaced twice now and I’m expecting that to last 6 months then fail. The engineer who came had fitted a number of air pressure switches on other Zanussi dishwashers before he arrived to fix ours. He left the bag from the replacement air switch on the worktop and said keep that so you know what the part number is in 6 months when fit fails again 😯 I told him that if it did fail again it would be being repaired under warranty again as the replacement part should come with twelve months warranty. The dishwasher does get used on a daily basis, but we never put very greasy items in it and make sure that items we do put on the dishwasher are scrapped into the bin before putting them in the dishwasher.

paclx wrote:Thanks. It still seems odd that it only trips after a few minutes, rather than immediately the oven is turned on.
Paclx an insulation fault is where the insulation on cable or a component breaks down with heat or current. For the RCD to trip a leakage current if flowing between live and earth. If the rest of the appliance is working correctly then there are only a few components that can cause the problem, the normal cause being the element – did you say you had already replaced the element ?
Was the replacment element new ? It woul be unlikely to have a replacment element that is breaking down and this is why I said check the thermostat and wiring

Your meter caused the RCD to trip as your meter will have sent a small test current between live and earth resulting in in I balance between live and neutral. It sounds like an insulation fault, is there any damage to insulation on wires for the oven or signs of arching around the oven thermostat ? If everything else works on the oven and the oven element has been replaced I would be first checking for signs of damage on oven wiring and looking for signs of electrical arching. Obviously make sure the power is off and isolated.

Do you have a multimeter ? Can you measure a short between live and earth when the oven is switched on ? Is it a fan assisted oven ?

Is it tripping the MCB or the RCD ? If it’s the MCB it would imply an overload which is unlikely to be a faulty element unless it’s gone S/C. Has this problem happened from new or just started happening?
