    Re: Smartdrive 051 drum fallen

I have the same thing a few times after moving machines.
There is a inner and outer tube over the springs near the bottom of the bowl. sometimes when moved it will lift up and the outer gets stuck on the inner.

Just push down on the agitator it should slip down to the normal position with a bit of pressure, otherwise jiggle it up and down a bit until it will push down with out leaning to one side.

You can confirm the fault is in the switch by connecting the 2 wires to the switch together as the switch is normally closed.

Don’t leave it that way or you could have bigger problems if the machine gets out of balance!

Also unplug the machine before you touch any wiring!

Re: Fisher & Paykel washer filling with hot water

There is definite problem, I know small amounts of cold water are added to cool the mosfets on the heatsink, this should not need to occur duing filling as there is water flowing then and no heat build up. If anything it would feed cold water to cool but it is filling with hot.

The boards are gw 051, 501 and 701 machines.

I have swapped with other controllers in the same machine and all works fine.

With the water temp set to cold it will fill for a short time on cold then turns off cold soleniod and turns on the hot and continues to fill.

If it was only 1 board I would not worry but I am getting 3 of them all with this fault.

Not sure about user setting I have been working on these with no service info.
