Used to work for them, very disapointing!
What if something gets stuck in drum such as babies clothes.
Can’t do the repair machine scrap!

Just to add to the madness, any engineers had a coin, screw, nail or bra wire stuck in the tub. Even had a small childs trouser leg, can’t remove due to tub being sealed. Machine scrap, manufacturer quoting miss use. Nice one!

    hi

Have you tried the cash protection agency?

£40:00 & they will get your money, even if they have to take them to court, they bounce the costs back to the debter!

    Hi

check the bottom of the sump as these get greased up badly.

often a kettle of hot water can help?

Sometimes can be main PCB ouch if it is.

I have had a couple where I have had to change the owi device.

this is basically a pressure switch in the sump.

Also just check the harness inside the door very prone to broken/ cracked wiring!

    Hi

Is it the fan (circular element) you replaced?

If so suspect selector switch faulty, although unusual on these!

yes door lock most obvious, can sometimes be the water distributor.

Lyamens terms means the top of the dispener. These can be electronically controlled causing sticking & nothing on some cycles!

    Hi

    No need to write off.

There is a kit which changes this to a normal ego or diamond H regulator.

You may need some knowledge of how to wire this, but I have changed them several times no problems.

Often if you order via masterpart/ connect it comes with wiring info anyway.

    Hope this helps?

    Cheers

    Hi

The pumps tend to work when tested short time.

They often fail half way through drying time, causing water build up & then leaks.

The pump comes as a kit which would suggest common fault!

    Cheers

    Hi

Generally its the front felt bearing which causes this.

They split & jam the drum, which then makes the belt skid & snap.

Change front felt & belt every time.

Be very careful the belt is a b*st!rd to fit!!!

    Re: Hotpoint CTD00

    Hi Phil

This is commonly the pump failing.

It will work fine when you test it but through full dryinmg time they fail.

Replace the pump, it comes as a kit complete around £28:00

    Cheers
