ParticipantRe: Samsung RSH7ZNRS advice
Thanks for your help Bob 🙂
The freezers reached the best temp of -10 today so it looks like i’ll have to shop about for a new unit but I think i’ll give Samsung a swerve for my next fridge/freezer.
Haha, thanks again Bob

ParticipantRe: Samsung RSH7ZNRS advice
Spoke with Samsung via chat and i asked if it could be the compressor on its way out and i was told “It may be, since it produces unusual sounds. It may also be the thermostat that is supposed to regulate the cooling of the appliance.”
If its a thermostat is this a possible self fix and if so can i buy the part from here?
They gave me a number for an service engineer company that is miles away and said “Rest assured that getting in touch with our service centre will have your appliance repaired with the same level of expertise at a fair price.”
If its the compressor i was told “the motor of the appliance has a 10 year part warranty. If it is the one that is faulty, you will not pay for the new one. However, there will still be charges with the labour.”
What sort of cost should i expect to pay for the labour if its the compressor that needs replacing?
Thanks in advance

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WF860 – Whats this piece off?
Yes, i believe it has iadom.
It had the whole outer drum replaced a while ago.
So would this be put back in via the top of the machine or from underneath the machine?
Is the machine still safe to use without this part being put back?
Thanks a billion for your help 🙂

ParticipantRe: SR2028 Access to bottom panel?
I’ve done everything i can think of.
There is no smell coming from inside the fridge and we have moved and scrubbed everywhere surrounding the fridge.
One thing very apparent is the smell became stronger the day we moved the unit.
It’s that bad it’s looking like i’m going to have to scrap the fridge freezer and buy a new one 🙁
Can’t really afford to do it but i definitely cant live with the stink and the wife constantly whinging about it, lol.Any suggestions for a replacement and what to do with my old one?
