ParticipantThanks – I’ll give it a go. Do I need PCB cleaner to clean up the board? Or maybe IPA?

ParticipantThanks Dave
I managed to get it out. There does seem to be some damage to the bottom of the circuit board:

Can these modules just be replaced? I can’t seem to find the one with the correct part number 9001 340 154 anywhere.

ParticipantThanks. I’ll probably give that a try as I haven’t got much to lose!
Is there an easy way to get it out or do you have to get the whole bottom off?

ParticipantWasn’t planning to go through insurance as worried about future cover.
So it’s a £650 hit and you can’t even get hold of them at the moment 🙁

ParticipantHi Dave
So you reckon it’s a write-off?
Rather gutting as it’s only 6 months old!
Thanks.

ParticipantRe: Bosch SGS5312GB/12 not filling
Oh dear!
I assume these pcbs are not easy (impossible??) to diagnose and fix?? Apart from the heater problem that is, which is fairly easy to spot on it.
Thanks all for your help!

Yes I had the heater problem a couple of years ago with this dishwasher and solved it by soldering a small length of wire between the burnt out sections.
I’ll have another look at the pcb to see if there is anything obvious. I just wondered whether there was some sort of sensor that controls the draining operation that may be faulty??

Hello Tony
It’s quite old – about 7 or 8 years old I would guess, although it had very little use for about 4 or 5 of these. It is a free standing model.

OK – I got both side panels off and there is no water in the base.
Basically it looks like the water is coming into the plastic tank on the left-hand side and then is being immediately pumped back out. A small amount actually makes it to inside the dishwasher. The drain pump keeps going even if I reset the program by holding down the ‘Intensive’ and ‘Eco’ buttons simultaneously.
Is there anything else it could be other than the main pcb (which sounds expensive to replace) such as a sensor/switch that detects when all the water is gone and thus stops the drain pump?
Any help much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply.
I shall have a look this evening. Do I need to remove the entire side panel or just the bottom bit? Also does it matter which side?
If it is flooded, is it just a case of emptying it out and hoping it works ok afterwards?
Cheers

ParticipantRe: Bosch WFO2865UK not draining or spinning
Thanks guys!
I’ll check for blockages first and if not I’ll try replacing the pump.
I’ll let you know how I get on.
