second hand board from a friend with the same model that gave out a fortnight ago. The motor and drum seal went on his and board was fine

why what do you mean by a card reader. I really am new to this all I did was buy a replacement and switch it. Would that be why the fault still remains.

I just changed out the PCB but the fault remains. Can you advise what else it could be?

Is the PCB the same as the Module.

I took the PCB out today and tapped all the relays just in case something was stuck but there was evidence of soot residue on a resister and some sort of blue plastic circle things with. Could I just replace those components

right ok, I’m a real novice. I can do the simple straightforward tasks like change brushes, unblock pipes and fit new seal/belts but the PCB is a different story.
Can you explain where it is located and what I’m looking for?
Can it be checked by a novice?
If it has gone is it worth replacing or better off buying a new washer?Sorry to be a noob,
