    Problem solved by wrapping copper wire around heating element and poking it down drain hole. It seems this was freezing over and preventing drain water from escaping, whereas now it is kept clear when the heating element comes on.

    Am I correct in thinking that you will only see voltage to the fan if the door switch is depressed?

    The door seals are fine & all fans are working when doors are closed – I assume that frost would form near the door if there was a problem? Currently it ices up the element first and then it works it’s way forward, trickling down the back panel.
