Thanks Martin. I thought it might be, but needed the reassurance before buying parts.

I can no longer edit this post, but have just noticed a typo. Should be E10 error, not E11 as per post

    Re: Zanussi WJD1257W not drying

Thanks for the suggestion Martin, and sorry for the delayed response.

I had actually been looking for reasurance that I wasn’t completely losing the plot as I figured the chances of 2 duff components being sent out one after the other was pretty remote. Similarly, I thought the chances of my multimeter happening to die at the same time as my washer/dryer was also pretty slim.

Earlier today, I recieved the NTC from the manufacturer rather than the spares firm I had been using. Checking resistance, I saw 6k ohms (pretty much as I had hoped) fitted the part and all works again. I had started to question my own sanity, hence the nature of the original post, so am really glad it’s working as it confirms the NTCs were at fault rather than my sanity:)

Sorry to hijack this board, but I’m having a similar problem with the same model.

There doesn’t seem to be any heat, and the running time is way shorter than the time set. No error seems to be generated. I think the NTC in the condenser hose has gone, as it shows zero resistance at room temperature, but so do the 2 replacement NTCs I’ve recieved (though they do generate an E72 error, so I’m not convinced they are the right part and will order a 3rd eleswhere). Just in case I’m doing something really stupid, I take it I should look for resistance between the 2 blade connectors on the NTC?

I did notice the comment from Penguin regarding possible problems with the wiring to that part. How do I check that wiring? Is there a reading I can take at the NTC connection end and if not, where are the other ends of the 2 wires so I can at least check the wires themselves?

    Thanks.
