Will it cost more than the £60 we paid for it, do you think?

It sounds like you need a condenser, these don’t need venting as they self condense the water, you just have to empty the water container at the end of every cycle.
Go for a Bosch, Siemens or Miele.
Dave.
It does back on to an outside wall but assume we’d have to knock a hole in the wall?

They are more reliable and more efficient.
If you do have to go for a condenser, go for a decent one 😉
Dave.
Thanks – I want to put it in an understairs cupboard – how do you vent them?

Best bet is ask an engineer to have a look at it for you, if the main control unit has failed, these can now be repaired saving some of the cost of the £60-£80 for a replacement.
Let us know your postcode, someone should be able to assist with this.
Dave.
PS. Your other post deleted as it relates to the same machine i assume.
Thanks. Postcode is AL4. I only paid £60 for it second hand (obviously now know I was conned as they told me it was working!)

It seems to do 8 single flashes although when I first turned it on it did a few single flashes then 3 in quick succession.
