ParticipantRe: Bosch Classixx Cycle Never Ends
Turned out to be the heater element.

Looks like this is the kit:

I guess it worth a try for £7! If anyone has any experience of this kind of wear any advice would be appreciated.

ParticipantRe: Bosch Classixx Cycle Never Ends
OK – so it seems the lack of heat will prevent the program from going to the next step.
The problem is usually either the heater element or the board. I’ll be checking both later.
I wonder if the blown fuse suggests which one?

ParticipantRe: Bosch Classixx Cycle Never Ends
Hmm – just put on short cycle to drain water and it blew the 13A fuse.

ParticipantRe: Bosch SPAM 1200 – continually filling with water
Well it was the board 😕 looks like an inductor in the middle of the board had blown.
Anyway, thanks again for all your help – amazing forum! 8)

Bugger. Is it worth replacing? Should I rule anything else out before replacing pcb or buying new?
Thanks for help so far.

ParticipantRe: Bosch SPAM 1200 – continually filling with water
Hi All,
I’ve replaced the filler valve (magnetic-valve) but still the same problem. Just continually fills whether program set or not.
Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks, Chris

Thanks – sold.

ParticipantRe: Bosch SPAM 1200 – continually filling with water
Thanks for that.
That link comes up with two fill valves – neither have my model associated with them. Can someone confirm which one is good? I would rather buy from here given the help I’ve received.
Thanks, Chris

ParticipantRe: Smeg WDI12C Not Drying
The sensor directly next to the element is about the size of a 2p coin with 4 connectors – power in and power out to element. This one doesn’t get 240v after 20mins.
There is another sensor (about the size of a 5p coin and with a single plastic connector 2 wires) in the rubber shaft leading down to drum at door opening.
What do these two sensors do?
Thanks again for any help.

ParticipantRe: Smeg WDI12C Not Drying
Thanks for the replies – better for me to reply late than never!!!
After having our first baby and drying clothes the traditional way during the summer I’m back trying to get our dryer sorted again. I’ve done some more analysis and here are my findings:
– I’ve checked all hoses and condensing chamber and there is no blockage.
– blower blows all the time.
– it seems water is making into the condesing chamber as the waste water pump is purring away. The problem seems to be with power to the heating element. Power goes from a sensor (directly next to element in element housing) and then onto the element. I guess the sensor is an overheating trip. So,
– element has 240v for first 20 mins and gets hot (and so does condensor etc)
– no power to element or even to sensor (thermistor?) for remaing 140mins. So it doesn’t seem as if that seonsor is cutting of the power to the element.Should the element be hot for the full 2 hours?
Any ideas what to check next?
Are there any other sensors that I need to check? Thanks, rotis23

ParticipantRe: Smeg WDI12C Error Code E06
Just to follow this up…
It turned out to be the pump after all. I was told that when I tested the pump the motor may have given the appearance of turning but was actually moving quickly back and forth. Obviously proved this by safely checking 240v was getting to the pump.
Thanks to Penguin45 for the reply.
Cheers, Chris

ParticipantMore info on model:
– Model WDI12C
– Type 22052
– S/N 60605 0424 0Any other sensors, switches or tubes I should check before calling a Smeg engineer? I’m hoping this isn’t the PCB.
Thanks, Chris
