Re: washing machine – eu standards

Thank you for the advice Inspector Clouseau…!!

Our cold pressure is very good – only the hot that’s rubbish. So rubbish that the machine just buzzes on a 60.

    Appreciate your help, thanks..!

Re: washing machine – eu standards

It’s an integrated machine – fairly cheap and cheerful – no idea of the make but the model number is APN8542. We don’t have sufficient pressure for the machine to work on a 60 degree wash or hotter but paid for the full installation from the retailer – therefore we believe that the installer should’ve tested the pressure first etc…. MAchine also squeals on spin! THINK we’re finally getting somewhere with retailer, possibly getting a new machine – cold fill this time! BUT, we got a call today after the third engineer visit suggesting that they switch to cold only (but the engineer said they might do this and that whilst it was straightforward to do, really was against BEAB regs..?

“What is it that you actually need to know for so I can try to help?”

Thank you both for your replies – very helpful.

We’re having problems with our washing machine which we firmly believe to be the responsibility of the retailer/installer. Got a very interesting call from their customer service dept ‘offering’ to (rather than replace the machine) switch it from a hot fill to a cold fill!!!!!! Our argument is that this would totoally null and void any ‘standards’ etc etc…

    Any thoughts…?

    Thanks again!

Thanks for your reply! It did tumble after I replaced the heating element but I stopped it as soon as I smelled something burning.. Almost as though something has overheated?
