    Re: Gorenje Fridg Freezer Problem

Thanks JD – I realised it was unlikely to be a DIY job but is it a viable tradesman fix or should I bite the bullet and buy a new one?

Yes just the one – it used to run at around 3-4 depending upon temp in kitchen but now at 6 and still not cool enough in fridge but too cold in freezer.

What is the best way to ensure that the belt tension is correct?

    Fully sorted and operational again.

Many thanks for the advice – one brush was to 3/16 long. The only place I went wrong was buying the brushes locally (the washing was stacking up) and paid £26-00 for the brushes (ouch).

OK thanks for that but now how do I attack the beast?

I have the machine disconnected from everything but not sure how to get the motor out. Last one I tackled had the motor on top – sooo easy.

    Thanks again

I tried it on rinse and on cold but it looks as if the drum is not turning though it sounds as if the motor is turning slowly. I am going to try it again once the door has unlocked and I can get the washing out.
