ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Rl34G makes terrible noise
i turned it up to 5 from 3 and 10 mins later it had still not turned on, i was not saying that the dent would affect anything what i was referring to was he way t may have been handled for it to get the dent also the cracked salad bowl, not to happy about just hoping its working ok if you know what i mean
the gurgling soumd is on all the time the motor is on, when the motor cuts out then it stops, i have never heard a fridge make this coninual noise, my other one the RLA30 (same fridge older model) never made such noises, maybe without the damage to the fridge i wouldnt be too concerned but knowing its obsiouvlsy taken some knocks has me a little concerned

Some refrigeration products do make a gurgling noise for a while but these do normaly settle down. I doubt very much if a dent in the side would cause this problem as the compressor is located at the bottom on the rear of the appliance.
If it is only less than a week old you do have a returns agreement with curry’s you can reject anything within the first28 days. I wouldn’t bother contacting hotpoint I would go back to the retailer.
thanks, like i say im also concerned that the control button doesnt clcik it on or off like the other did, surely if i clcik down to 1 and its at 3 ths should turn the motor off, and again if motor is not running at three and i turn it to 5 it should force the motor on?

also when i turn the temperature contol (numbered 1-5) on the font, currently at three, when i turn it to 1 0r 2 it doent click and turn motor off, the same as if motor isnt running and i tun it to 4 or 5 it doesnt turn motor on, which my old model RLA30 used to

I am not sure but I think there may be a Whirlpool that still has H+C fill, but that may also have been phased out by now.
Jim.
Just been discontinued but someone may have some left. IIRC it was the AWOD5706 and the AWO3571, but you will need to check these models instore to be sure.
Have a read here sassie of Jims link 😉 http://tinyurl.com/ywqc9z
Don
Thank you don, i have just read that and yes that makes total sense, but i believe mine is pulling off the hot water on everywash and i only use 40 cotton hence maybe why my clothes never seem to be washed, my machine never removes any stains off clothes, maybe its time for a new one, even after spending all day replacing a door gasket 😳

The inner clamp ring is held on in the 12 o’clock position with a 7mm nut and bolt. Release that (through the door aperture by the way) and pull it clear. 😉

Hi. Im not sure if it will be the same as mine, but i needed to unscrew the three screws that are in the dispenser draw which roves the control panel, and then i was able to remove the front of the machine, it is held round the drum with another wire which has a long screw on ot, unscrew till it releases, then replace with new seal
