ParticipantRe: Bosch SGS69A02 dishwasher bottom arm not spraying
Fixed it.
I took the Copreci motor from my £25 ebay part and fitted it in place of the existing motor.
Fortunately, both motors and their spindles are identical.
I can’t say that about the rest of the instantaneous heater block. Lying ebay seller sold me the wrong part.
Anyway, I can now see that my old motor turns fine when there’s no real load on it. As soon as it comes up against a load ie trying to close a port that’s open and feeding water through, it fails to turn.
Thanks for the help.sean5302

I stripped the dishwasher down and tested the instantaneous water heater.
When I put 240V across the little motor terminals, it works fine, rotating at 1 rpm.
The plastic wheel rotates and I can see the orifice holes open and close.
It seems the root cause is there is no power getting to this motor in normal operation.
Is there a control board problem that may be common to these?sean5302

Thanks.
I’ve been looking around the internet and it seems heater part 488856 is the one I’ll need.
Bosch Appliances UK want £158 for this.
I’ve seen similar ones on ebay, secondhand for around £25.
I’ve just bought one so I’ll post my success or failure here.
It looks like a major stripdown to fit these.January 28, 2010 at 10:28 am in reply to: Wanted: Appliance feet x 2 for Bosch Washer WFX3267 #310381sean5302

ParticipantRe: Bosch dishwasher end of cycle, is it correct?
Hmm.
I’m not sure whether I have a problem or not then.
The machine washes beautifully. Drying is OK too. The pots are not “red hot” when they come out as they were on the old Hotpoint, but they are dry.
What is bothering me is that the display counts down quite accurately, minute by minute, until it gets to “1” and then just sits there for 10 mins before the discharge pump runs. I can then hear water rushing out and can see it outside the house going down the drain.
Once it “thinks” it’s finished and the display reads “0”, all water seems to be gone and everything’s OK. It’s just that 10 minute delay that bothers me.
Maybe I don’t have enough to worry about. I’ll try and get out more!

I wish to God that I’ could have bought one here.
I got an e-mail saying it was unavailable.
I looked around, and eSpares said they could supply my part.
After lots of time, and having paid their price (50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} higher than quoted here) eSpares said the Post Office had lost the part. Can they re-supply? No, it’s been out of stock for 3 years. You what?
Refund yes.
Would I use them again?
Would you?

ParticipantRe: Has anyone used eSpares?
Yes, you’re spot on with the £17.08 That is what eSpares charged me, but it was plus £4.99 postage, total £22.07
I only went to them because I got a reply on here saying that my part was obsolete and couldn’t be obtained.
And that’s possibly the truth. Maybe eSpares can’t admit it.
I’ll stick with you guys next time. Honest, decent advice and you seem to know your game.
Thanks.sean5302

Just what I wanted.
Thanks very much.

Thanks very much.
We’ll see.
If it arrives, I’ll post.
If it doesn’t, I’ll post.
Thank you.

ParticipantRe: Who makes what, these days?
This is a very wise and clever reply.
In reality, though, the Koreans look to be doing very well.
If I were Hotpoint, Bosch or Siemens, I’d be very worried. Electrolux looks to have just given up. They seem to be buying their competitors, in desperation.
The appliance steelwork, the plastics and the overall design look first class.
I’d love the Trade view. How are they made? The build quality? The reliability?
Come on, help us all, please.

ParticipantRe: Bosch Upright freezer. Can I fit a light?
I’m sure it does.
Thanks Greg.
There’s no earthly reason why SWMBO needs to know how old the freezer is, she just WANTS TO.
Enough said.
Much obliged.

ParticipantRe: Bosch Upright freezer. Can I fit a light?
Thanks.
The handbook refers to the light and displays with a diagram how to change the bulb. I appreciate that this may be for the German market models, or something.Right, all the other numbers are:
333009
0279/0365
830911162800
GB01365978
and a little sticker affixed to the main label has 009229/00
Propan.
You’d be amazed at how cold it can be, peering with a torch at the label inside a freezer displaying -36C. (Maybe not, but I was).

ParticipantRe: Bosch Upright freezer. Can I fit a light?
Looking at the white label at LHS bottom after removing the lowest freezer drawer, we have:
GSU29423GB/02
032540211543302796 and a one inch space, followed by 9900021154
Hope this helps, thanks.
