Re: Miele W844. Won’t Spin. Flashing ‘Rinses’ light. – Resol

    Cheers.
Brushes and dampers are on order too (not genuine Miele – but they will do for now)

There is obvious evidence of the motor belt pulley hitting the rear panel, and just for good measure, there is even drum marks on the glass door!

The relays on the board are sealed with resin so I can’t pop the cover off to have a look or clean the contacts as a test fix… But I’ll pop a new one in too.

    Fingers crossed 🙂

Re: Miele W844. Won’t Spin. Flashing ‘Rinses’ light. – Resol

    Hi all,

Working on a friends W865… its getting on a bit (2002) but this is the first time its let him down… Rinse light flashes.. then stops – then flashes and stays flashing.
It fills and drains ok if you try different programs..

long story short – Brushes are ok (not great – but there is life still in them)
I’ve taken the board off and the fuse has blown…
I’ve then tested the 6K1 relay (off the board) and its latching as it should.
    (others are also ok)
Is there anything else I should swap out or check – or am I OK just to do the fuse (pack of 10 coming from RS)

    Thanks all.

The pump is the Askoll M217… As used in hotpoints, and a long list of the badge engineered machines, no?

Re: Indesit DIF 04 Circulation pump….

    That’s the point… It’s cheap tat… And I don’t really want to replace a part that’s a known weak link…

It is this pump… And this article that prompted the question…

Miele would be lovely… But if I could afford one, I wouldn’t be on here looking to repair this one would I?
