    Ok thanks.

Would you say it is ok to use for a few more times, until a replacement arrives ?

    Thanks,

    Steve.

    Thanks Dave.

Not sure how it fits with your suspicion, but if I push back of the drum from the inside, I can easily get it to hit the back of the machine. I tried the same on a new machine in a shop, and it was rock solid with no movement.

New spider from Miele is £418, as it only comes with all the drum bearings. Then it needs to be fitted !

I can get a new basic Miele WDB020 for £500 in the current sales, so looks like this one is heading to the scrap yard.

    Thanks Dave.

I just taken the top off and had a look inside. All looks in great condition …… seems a shame to scrap it.

Is there a way to check if it is the drum spider ? If it is bolted to the back of the inner drum, I assume without stripping it down, it is hard to tell ?

All I can see is something like this : https://www.ebay.ie/itm/miele-washing-machine-W524-drum-spider-drum-support-n-nr6045601-ekad-70/163723165187

    Thanks,

    Steve.

Many thanks for the quick reply.

If it is the drum spider, any rough idea on the cost to get it replaced ?

    Thanks,

    Steve.

Re: Neff Oven Element – Help !

I’ve got this all working now, so thought I’d update the post just in case anyone else stumbles across a similar problem.

I took the oven out of the housing and removed the back panel. And hey presto there was also a white lead with back lines with a spade connector on the end. This must have come loose when I unscrewed the element.

After a bit more research, I then connected the two white/red wires to one side of the element and the white/black wire to the other side.

Now all is working fine !

Thanks for the suggestions on the thermal fuse.

Any ideas where I can get one, as I could not seem to find one listed under Neff spares on the ukwhitegoods online shop ?

Also, I guess its fitted on the back of the oven cavity somewhere. Any ideas exactly where ?

    Thanks,

    Steve.

Re: Neff Oven Element – Help !

As the oven is still out of action, I’m getting earache from the wife so just wondered if anyone has any suggestions or ideas for the problem with my oven element ?

Do the two sets of wires seem correct or am I missing some ?

Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Steve.

    Re: Hissing sound from freezer

    Thanks for the link.

It was defrosted by putting saucepans of boiling water inside.

If the evaporator is damaged, how long is it likely to be before the freezer stops working ? Its been working ok since it was defrosted for about 40hrs so far.
