Re: Condenser Drier "Container Full" NOT!!

    Thanks Martin.

Is the base tray the large metal/plastic combo bottom left (from the front)? Looks like its a car radiator. What’s it’s function?

What’s the float chamber? and where?

    Thanks.

    Hi Martin
Thanks for the info, as a result of which I decided to call in an engineer BEFORE ordering the spare part (I recently made the mistake of replacing a laptop screen only to discover that the problem was something else … I didn’t want to make the same error).
GOOD NEWS! He found that the water supply problem was in fact caused by a badly blocked pipe under the machine, with foodstuff from the machine. He cleared it out and the machine is working well again now – the diverter was not the problem in fact, but the symptoms were the same.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Martin

    ErN is S5453X1GB/55

The bottom tray contents are washing better than the top but not perfectly. Is this consistent with this fault, or should the bottom tray not wash perfectly?

    Thanks

Re: NEFF ending wet and greasy

    Hi Martin
This appears to be the problem. Upper arm does not appear to be moving on repeated checks. It is dripping water, but I presume that’s spray from below, it’s not pumping out of the arm as is the case in the bottom, spinning, arm.
Is this likely then to be the diverter valve? Where do I find that?
    Many thanks

Re: NEFF ending wet and greasy

    Okay, post-salt update.

Problem remains, though the plates in the bottom tray are definitely cleaner on the face. Upper tray is much worse than the lower tray – spattered with greasy wetness and pools of dirty water collected in the hollows of upended dishes and cups.
It really looks like the wash cycle is not finishing – and I’ve tried a variety of wash programmes. If it was an iPhone I’d do a hard restore to reset the software, but don’t know what the issue might be here. Photos of dirty dishes available, if helpful.

Yes it is! Found it (the model number – S5453X1GB/55). Thanks.

Arms and filter cleaned already, but will fill with salt and report back.

    Thanks for help so far.

Re: BOSCH (FRIDGE) FREEZER TEMPERATURE PROBLEM

    UPDATE
No replies to this one but the problem hasn’t gone away!

In fact, it seems to be getting more critical.

I’ve pulled the fridge away from the wall a couple of inches to improve ventilation, but that hasn’t made a difference. Tonight I scraped a lot of ice off the rear wall of the freezer compartment (it’s supposed to be frost-free). Maybe that will help. The fan on the internal rear wall appears to be working.

    Any other tips?

    Thanks

Re: Miele W844 tripping fuseboard breaker

    Thanks Penquin.

Do I remove the entire front panel, or just the base?

Even assuming I can identify the pressure chamber and clean it, which sounds easy enough, is identifying the element as faulty something I could then do, or would it simply need to be replaced to see if that is the problem.

Sounds like I might be heading into deep water (not literally, I hope).

    Thanks for your help.

    Re: OVEN DOOR FALLING OPEN

    Looking forward to it then.

Would you buy the hinges from Belling (Dimplex) or can you recommend a parts supplier?

    Thanks

    Cillian
