Sorted it now, thanks everybody for their help.
After all this messing, the hose and the pressure valve were not really that bad…..anyway, clean as a whistle now.
The inlet valve looks OK, no drips but I think I have found the source of the problem. A small leak from the hose connection, this drips onto the outside case where a nice hole leads it into the machine…….
I don’t know if this is intentional but damm clever that it can detect a fault that is nothing to do with the machine. It’s now restored my faith in Bosch.
Once again, thanks very much for the advice, wifes now happy again.
Just need to order my new shiny buttons and were good as new. 😀

Penguin45, you have me confused now….
Which part lifts out for cleaning, there are two parts with microswitches on them, the top part (263097 regulator water level) and the bottom assembly (480748 Pressure chamber) ?
I can’t see how either of these remove without taking the water tank off which is full of water at the moment.
Is the hose I need to clean 298556 and how do you remove these, pull, twist etc. Does the metal plate at the front / bottom of the machine need removing to get at the hose ?
Sorry for the questions but i’d rather just leave it than risk damaging something.
Cheers

Thanks for the advice, only the button broke, the switch is still OK.
Looks like i’ll have to dismantle the front panel to refit the switch ?
as for the blockages the one in the pressure chamber is the one to clean along with the hose from pressure chamber to the sump. the one at the top left is not really needed
When you say clean the pressure chamber, how do I get inside it, do I have to remove the whole water/drain tank ? Is the pressure chamber the 2 part chamber directly below the float switch ?
Just out of interest, what is the buildup at the top left of the tank, it’s right at the top, above where the drain outlet connects ? Does this have anything to do with my sons costantly putting plates full of phillidelia in the thing 😕 ?
Had it running continuously now for 6 hours, no water appeared in the botton so weeping sounds spot on, i’ll take a close look at the inlet valve.
Can I buy parts via this site ?
Thanks again.

I never said I had water in the base ????
Just sits there sucking sometimes, if i pour water in it empties it and then starts sucking again.
How does the machine know it’s drained the water, is there a sensor that could be faulty ?
Cheers
