    Thanks for your thoughts on this one. Martin was almost right. The customer had fitted the new element then called me when the fan wouldn’t work. All three wires were fitted to the element but not correctly. Fortunately he hadn’t got the combination that would have tripped the fuse. Otherwise he might have spotted his mistake straight away… and so might I!!

    Turns out new element wiring was configured differently to the old one. Re-arranged the spade connectors in the connection block and now all is well. 😀

    Checked that already. That was one of my first thoughts. In fact the machine won’t repond to that one, it beeps but doesn’t turn the child lock on.

    Thanks for that. That seems to make sense. Thoroughly checked all wiring, nothing loose. PCB not expensive for this model so hopefully that will do the trick.
