Re: Zanussi ZWF1437 Error code 31, lights but no response?

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes, definitely e31 on dash. Machine won’t do anything again (as previous). Put on side and got the pump out (tried to get whole filter housing out too but very awkward nut holding it). Nothing causing obstruction. Haven’t looked at hoses but did give them a squeeze.
Blew into both pressure hoses again.

I can’t understand why it worked the other day after two days of rest and now back to square one?

Thanks again for taking time to reply. Further help would be much appreciated.

Re: Zanussi ZWF1437 Error code 31, lights but no response?

    An update:

Tried to work it again after letting it rest for two days. Started working (as opposed to just blinking lights), drum went round and water went in.
    But clothes are soaking wet.
Manually drained and now back to square one! Lights but no action. 🙁

Re: Zanussi ZWF1437 Error code 31, lights but no response?

Thanks very much for the reply.

I pulled out the pipe (it was a bit tight) so it’s in freely. Is that you meant?

Not made a difference though. Another post suggested blowing into the hose from pressure switch (not sure which one though so I did both) and that I should hear water bubbling. Heard nothing!

Which pressure switch is which? There is a black one (is this anologic pressure switch?) and a circular white one.

Should I attempt replacing? Only had the machine 2.5 years.

Another thing I think I should mention. The machine is in cellar and it got very damp in there after hose in front garden broke. Machine didn’t actually get wet (it is on a raised platform) but I wonder if this could have affected it?

Re: Zanussi ZWF1437 Error code 31, lights but no response?

    Anyone?

Perhaps my post was too brief – didn’t want to waste anybody’s time by being too wordy!

Bit more background – came back after some time away to cold damp house. Put washing in, worked but did not drain. Drained manually and there was some debris in filter. All clean but no response from machine apart from blinking lights at me. Pressed start and skip buttons together (trial and error – did not know this was the way to do it) and got E31 followed by three beeps.

I’m just a lass trying to do a DIY. Please help.

(Have already removed hoses to pressure switches – why are there two? – and blown)

    Thanks for the reply.

It seems the reviews are too new and are rated highly because of delivery.

    I think I might avoid.

So it’s a throw up between Bosch, Zanussi, Whirlpool and Liebherr! Decisions decisions!

Thanks for all the advice but someone else got lucky… 😥

She got it for £200 right at the last minute.

Better luck next time I hope.

Back to the launderette I go….

True but then, you can ensure that it is transported and moved carefully. I wouldn’t trust any old delivery guy to do this!

yeah, you’re right. Trouble is, Even when I do spend the money I can’t look after it for long (or have a dud one).

So back to the transit bolt thing. Conversely, If I buy a machine that is advertised as having the transit bolts still in place that’s ok?

I know it sounds dodgy doesn’t it? trouble is, i’m so desperate for a machine after my indeshit (sic) w103 light starting flashing 6 times. Not worth fixing that is it?

Re: Buying a washer without transit bolts

    thanks for the reply.

The trouble is, the washer is on a clearance site so I can’t ensure that it will be transported carefully.

Surely though, if it’s got warranty, it won’t work if damaged inside and I can return it? Or will it shorten life of machine?
