Re: BEKO WMA510W not spinning. pump just pumping

    Thanks for that reply Seamy.

Got to have another look at it this weekend.
Ran a few rinse cycles, still no joy.

Tried a reset by following a sequence of button presses that i found on the internet.still no joy.

checked pressure switch with a meter, 11 and 12 normally closed high resistance. squirt of wd40 sorted that out. still no joy.

Machine is now attempting to spin, you can hear it spin up a few stages then shuts down and starts again.

Removed brushes to check, plenty on them , not burned or pitted, comm ok.

Checked motor windings. different resistances to what you say though, wonder why that is?
    kn1. 3 -7 = 1.8 ohms
    kn1. 5-9 = 3.9 ohms
Tacho reading 50 ohms and giving a voltage out when rotating drum.

Read somewhere about disconnecting everything on control panel, leaving it 20 mins , reconnecting and trying again.
I did this and thought it had sorted it, it went in to a sort of half spin, then stopped. Back to square one.

Any suggestions please as to what to check now.

    thanks in advance, andy

cheers for all the help and advice its now working as it should.

Cheap flimsy plastic moulding on monitor microswitch retainer.
about a millimetre of freeplay on it, using it round at hers it must have been been moving slightly causing it to do what its supposed to do, put a short on it.

Slight adjustment, replace microswitch and hrc fuse, sorted.

i’m very tenacious and wouldnt let it beat me.

Re: Swan microwave SM2060 tripping RCB

ok fair enough, used to dealing with 12 Kv , but you arent to know that i am competent from a request from a forum. which i agree with totally! electricity kills….. Colourless odourless invisible but boy can it bite.

so if i were to test the microwave with the high voltage side disconnected at the transformer and the problem persist would i then get help on this matter?

    any replies welcome, cheers,

i would say get an engineer in before you do any more damage. circuit board may be fried if there is one, relay burned out etc etc….

Re: hotpoint TDC60 low heat output, not drying

thanks for the info on the other stat near the door.
are there any more things to check if its not this stat. as i want to fix it next time i look at it.

any water floats that could be stuck?
I noticed a brush type connector on the middle of the drum with a stainless steel band going all the way round. I took this to be an earth point for static build up but have found out its part of a moisture sensor in the drum itself. how does this work, could this be causing problems if it thinks that the clothes are dry?

any help appreciated, i just want as much info as possible before i take it apart again.
