Freestanding fireplaces are best option for portability. These are also cost effective and provide sufficient heat to your room. On the other hand, wall mount electric fireplace are best for people with very limited space. Because, they can be recessed into the wall. This type of fireplace are bulky and pricier than the freestanding version. If you’ve sufficient space available in your living room, then you may like the fireplace with tv stand models. They looks pretty cool. I personally own a fireplace with tv center.

I think most of the common issues are the heating element needs to be replaced or the thermal fuse needs replacing. Also, check the breaker on the outlet you’re plugging it into to see if it tripped.
